Not to brag, but I have pretty long eyelashes. I’m the annoying person that makeup artists remark does not need fake lashes for special occasions, but, of course, I indulge regardless. While lengthening isn’t my main concern when scanning the mascara section, lift and volume are, as my lashes tend to shoot straight out more than they reach for the sky, until I found Milk Makeup Rise Mascara. Milk Makeup Kush Mascara has always been a fan favorite, so I was excited to see what kind of new benefits the Rise Lifting & Lengthening Mascara would offer.
While there are a handful of great benefits I’ll lead with my most relished perk of this mascara—the weightless lift and curl it grants my otherwise straight lashes. Don’t just take my word for it. Milk Makeup reports that 100 percent of people saw an immediate shift in volume, length and lift while using the mascara. My favorite find is that 96 percent say they saw a visible lift at the root after just one swipe, so imagine what a few can do.
Another big bonus of this product is that it’s great for long wear. I first tested it on a day I was leaving the house in the afternoon and not returning until the evening, and it stayed put the whole time, while not making me feel weighed down by the mascara, although the coating is quite thick. I’ve worn it many days since, and the more I get to know it, the more my lashes are responding to the brush. As a big opponent of clumps, I was glad to see this formula features vegan-lash wrap technology to help define lashes and keep the clumps out.
Sunflower seed wax, carnauba wax, tree berry wax, candelilla wax, monoi oil, marigold extract and mineral pigments.
