Bethenny Frankel Gets Reversed Photoshopped

Bethenny Frankel has become a big influence in the beauty industry through her candid TikTok reviews. Now the star has been tapped by Laura Geller Beauty to help empower aging women, despite what society says. “It takes a lot of work to look this good, but I have nothing to hide,” says Frankel in the video campaign, and she goes on to prove it.

“Let’s see where these wrinkles, and yes, I have one or two, are headed. How about we reverse Photoshop?” says Frankel in the video. Then wrinkles and fine lines are Photoshopped onto her face in an effort to call into question the unrealistic expectations our culture places on women and the shame that’s too often attached to aging. Frankel demonstrates that you can happily be yourself at any age.

The duo is a perfect pair. Laura Geller Beauty is a makeup brand focused on faces over 40. However, any age would enjoy their products. The brand counts Fran Drescher, Kathy Najimy, Paulina Porizkova, Paula Abdul and Patricia Heaton as fans.

“I’m excited to partner with Laura Geller Beauty, a brand that is actively trying to revamp this dated notion of aging and empower women to be proud of themselves the way they are,” says Frankel. “A wrinkle here or there isn’t the end of the world, and it’s about time we stop filtering, Photoshopping, and portraying a false image of what we really look like.”

The two hope this campaign helps continue to shift the narrative around what’s considered aspirational when it comes to beauty. “We want to create a new version of what’s considered ‘beautiful’ in society for women in all stages of their lives,” says veteran makeup artist and brand founder Laura Geller. “We’re very excited to have Bethenny join us on this mission.”
