This Enzyme Cleanser Takes Off Everything and Leaves Skin Looking Glowy and Glazed

When EVE LOM expanded its cleanser portfolio this past spring, it was met with a moment of skepticism that anything could compare to its cult-classic balm. (Jenna Elfman even told us that she considers the O.G. “perfect,” and she notices that her skin looks “noticeably plumper and more hydrated” whenever she uses it.) While the multitasking icon doesn’t have to compete, the new enzyme-powered addition, the Foaming Cream Cleanser, has quickly gotten rave reviews for delivering equally as radiant and luxuriously hydrating results.

My Skin Type:

Red, reactive, super sensitive, and then some. I have to be extremely careful with what I introduce into my routine (and that includes even something as “simple” as cleansers), and I still have not seemed to master getting off all my tinted SPF at the end of the day—or so every aesthetician who has ever given me a facial tells me.

The Benefits:

Tinted sunscreens and heavy makeup don’t stand a chance against this takes-it-all-off cleanser that leaves skin healthy, hydrated and fresh, yet never stripped or dry. The skin-loving ingredient list is long (in a good way) with mega moisturizers, enzyme-based brightening exfoliators, barrier boosters, and anti-inflammatory fatty acids. Best of all—at least for skin like mine—it is incredibly gentle (it even smells “calming”), yet somehow manages to simultaneously give that “deep clean” and glowy-glazed look as soon as you wash it off.

How to Use It:

I wet my face first, then mix it with a little warm water in my hand before I apply. I don’t typically use it as part of a double-cleansing routine, but the brand does recommend it for that as well.

The Bottom Line:

One Nordstrom.com review succinctly sums it up: “It’s just a lovely cleanser.”
